System Requirements for Sage 100 Contractor
Version 2018 (aka Version 21)
If you’re installing Sage 100 Contractor or upgrading to the newest version, the hardware and system requirements below will provide a general guideline. Additional requirements may be necessary depending on your specific technology configuration, integrated 3rd party applications, and other factors that may require additional consideration.
Be sure to contact the support team at Accordant Company if you need assistance.
Internet Access Required for Sage 100 Contractor
Certain Sage 100 Contractor features, such as printing or e-filing tax forms, submitting enhancement requests, accessing Help, or downloading periodic product or tax updates, all require Internet access. To take advantage of these features, please ensure any workstation or server that Sage 100 Contractor is installed on has access to the Internet.
During installation of Sage 100 Contractor, the computer serving as the Sage license server must be able to connect to the Internet to obtain licenses. Once installation is complete, you can check out license uses for each computer where Sage 100 Contractor is installed then disconnect the Sage license server from the Internet.
Note: A static Internet connection using a compatible web browser is required for Sage Construction Anywhere. See the Related Resources section for supported browsers.
Server & Client Workstation Hardware Requirements
Server hardware and network requirements will depend on your specific requirements, such as the number of users on your network or other programs that might use server resources, including firewalls, software applications, mail systems, and more.
That said, here is what we recommend as a set of minimum hardware requirements.

Important Note: Server 2012 Standard may be used to host SQL Server, License Administration, Database Administration, and the Sage databases, but the Sage 100 Contractor client cannot be used on Server 2012 Standard.
