Introducing Work Order Management & Work Order Dimensions
Sage Intacct now offers the option to track service work separately from core projects in a dedicated application built to handle a high volume of shorter-duration jobs.
With the new Work Order dimension, you can reference specific work orders on transactions and post all the way to the General Ledger. When transactions with Work Order dimensions are posted, values are carried through the workflow like any standard dimension.

This provides better service profitability and visibility, along with cleaner reporting between project work and service work.
Manage Projects – Mass Updates
Previously, you couldn’t update multiple project records in a single process. The new Manage Projects feature solves this long-standing pain point.
Project admins can now filter projects and update multiple fields across several projects simultaneously.

This is a major quality-of-life improvement for PMs. Mass updates and filtering mean less administrative frustration and significant time savings.

Manage Construction in Progress (CIP) Assets – SFAM
With this enhancement, you can manage long-term capital projects — such as buildings, infrastructure, or custom equipment — directly in Intacct.
Bills and invoices coded to CIP GL accounts can automatically create CIP assets and track spend as costs are incurred. This closes the gap between Projects, AP, and Fixed Assets.

CIP management reduces manual journal entries and strengthens audit readiness and GAAP compliance.
AP Automation Line-Level Matching – General Availability
Previously available only to Early Adopters, line-level matching in AP Automation is now generally available.
AI can now match vendor documents to source purchasing transactions with greater accuracy. It populates line items using data from uploaded or emailed vendor documents—rather than simply pulling original values from the source transaction.

Flexible Release of AP Retainage From a Primary Document
You can now release retainage across all invoice lines at once using the new flexible retainage release feature.
When editing a primary document, you’ll find a new Release Retainage button on the Primary Document Details tab. You can still release retainage per invoice line on the AP retainage release page if needed.

Retainage is finally less clunky. This flexibility reduces AR confusion, speeds up billing cycles, and improves cash flow timing.
Announcing GL Account Reconciliations
Streamline your end-to-end reconciliation process with the new GL Account Reconciliations feature. It makes matching offsetting debit and credit entries faster and easier.
You can also review reconciliations through the new GL Account Reconciliations activity report.

Finance teams can now stay inside Sage Intacct instead of exporting to external tools — leading to a faster and smoother month-end close.
Update Asset Cost Using AP Adjustments – SFAM
Previously, if an asset’s cost changed after creation, finance teams had to manually adjust the asset, recalculate depreciation, and explain the workaround to auditors.
Now, you can increase or decrease an asset’s cost directly from an AP adjustment. Once posted, future depreciation is automatically recalculated to reflect the updated cost.

This eliminates a real accounting headache — especially for construction organizations. Asset values and depreciation now stay aligned with actual vendor spending.
Sage Intacct Import Service – AI-Powered Tools
The Import Service now includes AI-powered tools to transform your data within the import workspace.
With imports often being one of the most painful tasks for admins, this enhancement introduces:
- Natural-language mapping
- Data cleaning before import
- Preview capability before committing
